Life has been quite a blur this year already and the action continues. After selling our home in Colorado last fall, we enjoyed our first winter in the Hill Country of Texas. Scurried back to Wisconsin to open up at the lake for Spring and then we set off on a magical trip to Ireland for a few weeks mid April. Arrived back to weather that allowed us to plunk the dock and pontoon in the water. Another dash back to Texas early May as we were planning to pick a lot to build in the development we were renting. Instead of a building adventure however we are beyond blessed to have a new finished house in the same floor plan become available. We snapped it up and closed May 12th. Another quick trip back to the lake to celebrate my Mom's 98th birthday. AMAZING! and such fun. We drove my pickup back to Texas with a stop in Oklahoma to have great laughs with some Murray clan. NOW the moving begins. Thankfully we have the month of June to move literally around the corner so taking it a day at a time.
ALL of this activity, wonderful! as it is, has put my Checkered Corner world on hold. Without time to focus on finding a new spot to rent in Wisconsin or getting in my usual create mode brings a continued pause for the business . . .
I truly miss it and all of you that are kind enough to reach out and follow me. Our paths will cross again and I will do a better job of updating along the way. Until then here are a few pics from the last few months.
Stay well and enjoy the summer months. anita
LOVED not having any snow to deal with for the winter. Strange to decorate with snowflakes in the yard and still blooming mums.
OFF TO IRELAND!
We did this southern coastal route hitting the highlights.

WHY NOT! add a project with the good weather. Exhausting but nice refreshed patio to the lakeside.
