For years I had been open third weekends and knew that was the only thing I want to do going forward. I also was seasonal for many years open just during spring, summer & fall months. That also remains the plan now to escape the season of shoveling in Wisconsin. I will pause Checkered Corner for WINTER BREAK as we relocate to Texas to the spend winter months.
I will miss seeing you each month and plan to be back in the market swing in the spring and hope there is room available at The Copper Nickel — which remains open year round so do continue to shop and find the treasures that are meant to be yours. Until then I’ll post my picking & grinning photos from Texas. There are many great spots I’ve found down there and the thrill of the hunt will continue this winter as I source goods for my return to the north woods.
I wish you a holiday season full of joy surrounded by those you love. Stay well and enjoy your winter wherever it finds you.
