How is it possible that the holiday season is here already???? It's been a wild fall season culminating with a move to Texas and we are happy to now stay put, relax and enjoy it all.  Will be nice to settle in for the winter and explore our new surroundings. 

The last hurrah for me in Colorado is thankfully including PALISADE PEACH season! Such a treasure time of the year and definitely my favorite.  Fresh peaches and pears found their way home with me this week.

CHANGES ARE COMING . . .

Greetings All! There are a lot of changes happening in my world, all good! just many balls in the air at the same time.  Sadly, I'll be closing my shop space at Log Home Country Store in Webster WI after this weekend.  Not closing for good but a HIATUS for the upcoming months until next spring.

We are making a move of our home in Colorado to Texas where we will be spending winters.  Listed, SOLD and closing end of August which has created quite a tail spin. Hiatus was only answer for Checkered Corner as I focus on packing and relocating to the Hill Country of Texas.  We were drawn into this area several years ago and decided this spring to make the move.

Our summers will continue to be at the lake in the Wisconsin north woods.  Next year will be the first ever not to bounce from permanent home to the lake.  Looking forward to staying put for the whole summer in one spot.  This will give me much more time to tap into the creative realm for Checkered Corner.
